When the financial year comes to its end, we want to take the opportunity to think also of people who are not as well off as we are. This year we have decided to support two organizations that are particularly close to our hearts.
Aktion Deutschland Hilft
Due to the extreme drought in the Horn of Africa and continuing violence in the region around Lake Chad, nearly 37 million people are at risk of starvation. More than half of them are children. The situation is particularly dramatic in Nigeria, Somalia, Ethiopia, Congo and South Sudan. The situation in Yemen is also catastrophic: the United Nations is warning of the world's biggest famine for decades.

Das Frauenhaus (Alsdorf)
Also through cooperation partners, the women's shelter (Frauenhaus) in Alsdorf offers women and their children protection, help and advice on the processing of ill-treatment. The institution provides assistance with the reorientation for those affected and, through the exchange of women in the shelter, gives each other "help for self-help".
